I hadn't heard the song before she sent me the link, and when listening to it I immediately thought of traveling during the summer, especially along the fjords, preferably in a boat with the wind and sun on my face. Since I am rubbish at drawing boats and cars and things like that I figured why not draw something more free to move where it might than any of those? At first I was gonna go with a phoenix, but it has been a long time since I have drawn any kind of dragon (besides, just before I started drawing I had been watching Spirited Away
)

Currently working on toting points up for February, but as the results are in for what's next - seems fitting to post it up! And man, oh boy am I excited for this one!! Wow! Interesting way of interpretating this piece. 
The colouring is beautiful, as always! I love the background scene and how the dragon is the main piece but also the framing - interesting idea and works really well!
It amazes me how this piece inspired the idea of travel in you too! It's such a really cute dragon - i love the face it makes me want to go and hug this adorable beast! Really good detail to the tail too Nice job!!!!
