Chapter 3
As Amines last breath faded away Joni gave out a long wail of sorrow and pain. Marin jumped away with a hoarse crow, startled by the sudden outburst of emotion from his master. Several nocturnal animals fled the surrounding area as they heard the cry.
For several long moments, all Joni could do was cry and cling to her lifeless body, her dark blood on his fingers and smeared on his tearful face, tears silently trailed down his face and into her hair, the hair that had looked like fire in the light of the rising sun one morning so long ago.
In one of his hands he could feel the metal of the medallion she had given him from Dorgur.
Chapter 2
When Joni wakes up the next morning he is slightly confused as to where he is, but then he remembers it, the painful chat with Amine. How his dreams had been shot down with a few simple words. He looks around the cave and decides to stay there until he has made a proper place to live, but first he needs to get some breakfast and then he is going to explore the area around the cave.
He is able to shoot down a few rabbits, and he gathers some herbs to go with it, he saves their fur, as it would become useful in the winter as gloves. He lit a fire and steaks the rabbits after he has stuffed them with herbs. Luckily, for him he paid a
Chapter 1
Joni walked down the stone steps in front of the low stone-built house, it felt good to get out of the dark room and feel the damp grass underneath his feets. He looked at the sky. It was a misty blue. The sun had not risen quite yet, but it was just below the horizon. He had been the first one to wake up this morning if you didnt count the old druid, whose name was Dorgur. However, that was the name he had made for himself, that was the rule among the druids. No one but your teacher, you and your parents should know your name. The old druid chose druids as a newborn child. Joni had been chosen and Joni was the name he had cr
